Installation Procedure
3rd Row Seat Back Frame (2) - Install
- If NEW threaded components are being installed, loosen the adhesive using a metal pick or similar tool before proceeding. If threaded components are reused, prepare the threaded components using the following steps:
- Remove any loose cured adhesive from the external threads of the components using a lint free cloth.
- Thread the cleaned components into the internal mating threads and remove to loosen trapped cured adhesive.
- Apply thread locking adhesive to the external threads of the components. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
- Ensure there are no gaps in the thread locking adhesive once applied to the component.
- 3rd Row Seat Back Frame Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications
- Connect and position the wiring harness.
3rd Row Seat Back Panel (2) - Install
- Rear Seat Back Cover Retainer (1) - Install [8x]
3rd Row Seat Back Latch Cable (2) - Install
- Install the cable retainers (1) to the seat back frame.
- Connect the 3rd row seat back latch cable end to the seat back latch.
Folding 3rd Row Seat Back Actuator (3) - Install
- Folding 3rd Row Seat Back Actuator Bolt (2) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
- Install the cable retainers (1) to the seat back frame.
- Connect both 3rd row seat back actuator cable ends to the seat back latch.
- Connect the electrical connector.
3rd Row Seat Hinge Finish Inner Cover- Inner (2) - Install
- 3rd Row Seat Hinge Finish Cover Pin (1) - Install [2x]
3rd Row Seat Hinge Finish Cover- Outer (2) - Install
- 3rd Row Seat Hinge Finish Cover Pin (1) - Install [2x]
3rd Row Seat Back Cover and Pad (1) - Install - 3rd Row Seat Back Cover and Pad Removal and Installation (40 Percent) , or 3rd Row Seat Back Cover and Pad Removal and Installation (60 Percent)
CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution .
NOTE:
Bolt holes are oversized to allow for seat back frame adjustment. Align the seat back frame with the opposite side seat back before tightening the seat back frame bolts.
