Circuit/System Testing
- Ignition - Off
- Disconnect any electrical components/modules connected to signal circuit 8917 after the W12RCL Blunt Cut - Left Rear Cargo Trim or W12FC Blunt Cut - Front Seat/Center Console.
- Ignition - On
- Driver door - Open
- Test for greater than 11.6V between the test points: Circuit 8917 & Ground.
- Ignition - Off
- Disconnect the electrical connector: X6 at the K9 Body Control Module.
- Test circuit 8917 for a short to ground.
- If a short to ground is found, repair the fault on the circuit.
- Go to next step: If a short to ground is not found
- Test circuit 8917 for an open/high resistance.
- If an open/high resistance is found, repair the fault on the circuit.
- Go to next step: If an open/high resistance is not found.
- Replace the K9 Body Control Module.
- Go to next step: If greater than 11.6V
- Driver door - Closed
- Test for less than 1V between the test points: Circuit 8917 & Ground.
- Disconnect the electrical connector: X6 at the K9 Body Control Module.
- Test the circuit 8917 for a short to voltage.
- If a short to voltage is found, repair the fault on the circuit.
- Go to next step: If a short to voltage is not found.
- Replace the K9 Body Control Module.
- Go to next step: If less than 1V
- Repair the fault on the Upfitter circuit or components.
