Circuit/System Testing

Ignition - Off
Disconnect any electrical components/modules connected to signal circuit 8917 after the W12RCL Blunt Cut - Left Rear Cargo Trim or W12FC Blunt Cut - Front Seat/Center Console.
Ignition - On
Driver door - Open
Test for greater than 11.6V between the test points: Circuit 8917 & Ground.
- If less than 11.6V
1. Ignition - Off
2. Disconnect the electrical connector: X6 at the K9 Body Control Module.
3. Test circuit 8917 for a short to ground.
  - If a short to ground is found, repair the fault on the circuit.
  - Go to next step: If a short to ground is not found
4. Test circuit 8917 for an open/high resistance.
  - If an open/high resistance is found, repair the fault on the circuit.
  - Go to next step: If an open/high resistance is not found.
5. Replace the K9 Body Control Module.
- Go to next step: If greater than 11.6V
Driver door - Closed
Test for less than 1V between the test points: Circuit 8917 & Ground.
- If greater than 1V
1. Disconnect the electrical connector: X6 at the K9 Body Control Module.
2. Test the circuit 8917 for a short to voltage.
  - If a short to voltage is found, repair the fault on the circuit.
  - Go to next step: If a short to voltage is not found.
3. Replace the K9 Body Control Module.
- Go to next step: If less than 1V
Repair the fault on the Upfitter circuit or components.
