Transmission Fluid Level Inspection (M13 With Y4Q Track Pack With or Without KNR)

Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
- Clean any dirt from around the fill plug (1).
- Remove the transmission fill plug from the transmission.
Check that the transmission fluid level is even with the bottom of the fill plug hole.
- Add fluid, if necessary. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers (M13)
- Install the transmission fill plug.
- Run the engine in the Neutral position at 2800 RPM's for 2 minutes to allow the fluid to recirculate.
- Turn the engine Off.
- Allow a dwell time of 10 minutes for the fluid level to return to the oil sump.
- Remove the fill plug and verify the fluid is even with the bottom of the fill plug hole. Add or remove fluid as necessary.
- CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution .
Install the transmission fill plug (1) to the transmission and tighten the fill plug to 27 N.m (20 lb ft).
- Lower the vehicle.
NOTE:
Ensure clutch pedal is NOT depressed.
