Installation Procedure

NOTE:
Ensure proper use of room temperature vulcanizing (RTV) sealant. Use of Room Temperature Vulcanizing (RTV) and Anaerobic Sealant
Place a 3 mm (0.118 in) bead of RTV sealant on the block pan rail and the crankshaft rear oil seal housing (1). Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
- Oil Pan (2) - Install
- Oil Pan Bolt (3) M8 x 20 - Tighten in sequence [7x] 25 N.m (18 lb ft)
- Oil Pan Bolt (4) M6 x 151 - Install NEW and tighten in sequence [3x]
- First Pass: 7 N.m (62 lb in)
- Final Pass: 180 degrees
- Oil Pan Bolt (5) M8 x 66 - Tighten in sequence [5x] 25 N.m (18 lb ft)
- Oil Pan Bolt (6) M8 x 36 - Tighten in sequence [2x] 25 N.m (18 lb ft)
Install the lower transmission to engine bolts.
- Catalytic Converter Brace Bracket - Install - Catalytic Converter Brace Bracket Replacement (LGX)
- Install the transmission fluid cooler pipe clip bolts at the oil pan. Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet and Outlet Pipe Replacement (LGX With M13, With 1LE Package)
- Engine Mount Bracket - Install [2x]
- Engine Oil Cooler Inlet Pipe - Install - Engine Oil Cooler Pipe Replacement (LGX, Inlet)
- Engine Oil Cooler Outlet Pipe - Install - Engine Oil Cooler Pipe Replacement (LGX, Outlet)
Electrical Connector (1) @Engine Oil Level Indicator Switch - Connect
- Drivetrain and Front Suspension Cradle - Install - Drivetrain and Front Suspension Cradle Replacement (LGX - Coupe) , or Drivetrain and Front Suspension Cradle Replacement (LGX - Convertible)
- Oil Level Indicator Tube - Install - Oil Level Indicator Tube Replacement
- Fill the engine oil to the proper level with NEW engine oil.
- Start the engine and inspect for leaks.
