5th Speed Driven Gear and 6th Speed Drive Gear Installation

Install the thrust washer (4), spacer (3), caged needle bearing (2), and 6th drive gear (1).
Install the 6th speed drive gear inner cone, 6th speed drive gear friction cone, and synchronizer blocking ring.
Install the 5th/6th synchronizer hub assembly (2) using DT-38205-1 installer (1).
Install the following components:
- Drive gear inner cone
- Drive gear friction cone
- Synchronizer blocking ring
- Synchronizer inserts
- Synchronizer sleeve
- 5th/6th shift fork
Install the 5th/6th speed shift fork retainer ring.
Install the retainer clip to the countershaft.
Install the 5th/6th speed driven gear (1) by heating to 54°C (130°F). The smaller outside diameter (OD) of the gear faces down.
