Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid Control Valve
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
Camshaft position actuator solenoid control valves are separate, electrically actuated solenoid valve assemblies. Located away from the camshaft position actuators, they are typically installed in the camshaft cover. Oil passages through the cam cover, cylinder head, and camshaft journals direct engine oil flow to and from the opposing actuator chamber passages. Control valve position determines the camshaft timing advance, retard or hold mode.
