Disassemble Procedure

Lower Crankcase Extension Pin (1, 2) - Remove [2x]
- Engine Block Core Hole Plug (3) - Remove
- Engine Block Core Hole Plug (4) - Remove
- Thermostat Bypass Pipe Bolt (7, 9) - Remove [4x]
- Thermostat Bypass Hose (6, 10) - Remove [2x]
- Engine Coolant Thermostat Gasket (5, 8) - Remove and DISCARD [2x]
Lower Crankcase Extension Pin (2, 3) - Remove [2x]
- Oil Filter Bypass Valve (4) - Remove
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor (1) - Remove
- Engine Oil Pressure Sensor (5) - Remove
Engine Block Core Hole Plug (1) - Remove
- Oil Pump Flow Control Solenoid Valve Bolt (2) - Remove
- Engine Wiring Harness Clip (5) - Remove
- Oil Pump Flow Control Solenoid Valve Wire (3) - Remove
- Oil Pump Flow Control Valve Seal (4) - Remove and DISCARD
Inspect the oil pump drive shaft (1) for damage and wear.
If the oil pump drive shaft is not suitable for use, remove the oil pump drive shaft retainer (2) and oil pump drive shaft (1), and replace with new.
