  5. Verify the scan tool Engine Speed parameter is greater than 0 RPM while cranking the engine.
    • Go to next step: If greater than 0 RPM
  6. Verify the scan tool Engine Speed parameter, while cranking the engine, is greater than 50 RPM on a cold engine and 125 RPM on a hot engine.
    • If less than 50 RPM on a cold engine or less than 125 RPM on a hot engine

      Refer to Engine Cranks Slowly

    • Go to next step: If greater than 50 RPM on a cold engine or greater than 125 RPM on a hot engine
  7. Verify there are no fuel system leaks from the fuel tank to the high pressure pump.
    • Go to next step: If a fuel leak is not present

  9. Verify the fuel pump turns ON and OFF when commanding the Fuel Pump ON and OFF with a scan tool.
    • Go to next step: If the fuel pump turns ON and OFF
  10. Verify the scan tool Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor parameter is greater than 10 MPa (1, 450 psi) while cranking the engine.
    • Go to next step: If greater than 10 MPa (1, 450 psi)
  11. Verify the following conditions do not exist:
  12. All OK
