Circuit/System Verification

- DTCs related to the following system/component = Not Set
- B34 Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor
- If a related DTC is set
- Go to next step: If a related DTC is not set
- Ignition/Vehicle - Off
- Verify the following conditions do not exist:
- G17 Heater Coolant Pump - Abnormal noise /Leaking/Loose Clamps/Visible Damage
- Air Pocket @Cooling System - Refer to: Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static LM2) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716 LM2)
- Antifreeze Concentration - Incorrect - Refer to: Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static LM2) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716 LM2)
- Hoses/Lines@Cooling System - Kinked/Leaking/Restricted/Visible Damage
- Hoses/Lines@G17 Heater Coolant Pump - Kinked/Leaking/Restricted/Visible Damage
- Incorrect fluid level or condition - Coolant@Surge Tank - Refer to: Loss of Coolant
- If a condition exists
Repair or replace as necessary
- Go to next step: If no condition exists
- Ignition - On/Vehicle - In Service Mode
- Verify DTC U137E is not set and no other DTCs are set.
- If DTC U137E is set and no other DTCs are set
Replace the component: G17 Heater Coolant Pump
- Go to next step: If the DTC is not set
- If DTC U137E is set and no other DTCs are set
- Verify DTC U0623 is not set.
- If DTC U0623 is set
Refer to: Circuit/System Testing
- Go to next step: If the DTC is not set
- If DTC U0623 is set
- Verify DTC P261F, P2B86, P2B87, P3077, P3078 is not set.
- If any of the DTCs are set
Replace the component: G17 Heater Coolant Pump
- Go to next step: If none of the DTCs are set
- If any of the DTCs are set
- Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
Verify the DTC does not set.
- If the DTC sets
Refer to: Circuit/System Testing
- Go to next step: If the DTC is not set
- If the DTC sets
- All OK.
