Circuit/System Testing
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
- Ignition/Vehicle - Off
- Disconnect the electrical connector: B136 Exhaust Particulate Matter Sensor
- Ignition - On/Vehicle - In Service Mode
- Test for battery voltage between the test points: Ignition circuit terminal 4@ & Ground
- If less than battery voltage
- Ignition/Vehicle - Off
- Test for less than 2 ohms between the test points: Ignition circuit terminal 4@Component harness & Output terminal@F7UB Fuse
- If 2 ohms or greater - Repair the open/high resistance in the circuit.
- Go to next step: If less than 2 ohms
- Test for infinite resistance between the test points: Ignition circuit terminal 4 & Ground
- If less than infinite resistance - Repair the short to ground on the circuit.
- If infinite resistance - Verify the fuse is OK and there is voltage at the fuse.
- Go to next step: If battery voltage
- Test or replace the component: B136 Exhaust Particulate Matter Sensor
