WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
- Ignition - On/Vehicle - In Service Mode
- Verify there are no DTCs set related to the following component/system:
- B34 Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor
- B65 Intake Manifold Pressure and Air Temperature Sensor
- B75C Multifunction Intake Air Sensor
- B131D Exhaust Temperature Sensor 4
- Q14 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve
- Q17 Fuel Injector
- If a related DTC is set
- Refer to: Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle
- Go to next step: If a related DTC is not set
- Verify the scan tool parameter: Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor 3, 4 = The value should be within the range listed in the table: Temperature Versus Resistance (B131A Exhaust Temperature Sensor 1)
, or Temperature Versus Resistance (B130B Exhaust Gas Recirculation Temperature Sensor 2)
, or Temperature Versus Resistance (B130A Exhaust Gas Recirculation Temperature Sensor and B131B, B131C Exhaust Temperature Sensor 2, 3)
- If not in the specified range
Replace the appropriate component: Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor 3, 4
- Go to next step: If within the specified range
- If not in the specified range
- Verify the following conditions do not exist:
- Q67 Exhaust Aftertreatment Fuel Injector - Leaking/Restricted - Refer to: CONTROL MODULE REFERENCE
- Charge Air Cooler/Induction System - Leaking - Refer to: Component/System Leak Test .
- Exhaust System - Leaking - Refer to: Exhaust Leakage .
- If a condition exists
Repair as necessary
- Go to next step: If no condition exists
- Perform the scan tool function: CONTROL MODULE REFERENCE
.
- If the procedure was not successful
Replace the component: Exhaust Particulate Filter
- Go to next step: If the procedure was successful
- If the procedure was not successful
- All OK.
