Ignition - On / Vehicle - In Service Mode
Verify the scan tool parameter:Engine Oil Pressure Sensor=0 kPa (0 PSI)
- If not the specified state
  Refer to: Circuit/System Testing
- Go to next step: If the specified state
Verify the engine has the correct oil level and the correct oil pressure before continuing with this diagnostic.
Displays and Gauges Component Replacement Reference
Engine Running
Verify the scan tool parameter:Engine Oil Pressure Sensor=<sptool><sptool-no>CH-48027</sptool-no><sptool-desc>Digital Pressure Gauge</sptool-desc></sptool>
- If not the specified state
  Refer to: Circuit/System Testing
- Go to next step: If the specified state
Verify the scan tool parameter:Engine Oil Pressure Sensor=Engine Oil Pressure - Gauge@P16 Instrument Cluster
- If not the specified state
  Test or replace the component:P16 Instrument Cluster
- Go to next step: If the specified state
All OK.

Verify correct engine oil level and condition.
Ignition ON/Vehicle in Service Mode.
Verify the scan tool Engine Oil Pressure parameter is 0 psi (0 kPa).
- If not 0 psi (0 kPa)
  Refer to Circuit/System Testing.
- Go to next step: If 0 psi (0 kPa)
Engine running.
Verify actual engine oil pressure is within specified range. Refer to Oil Pressure Diagnosis and Testing in Displays and Gauges Component Replacement Reference .
Verify the scan tool Engine Oil Pressure parameter is within specified range.
- If not within specified range
  Refer to Circuit/System Testing.
- Go to next step: If within specified range
Verify the engine oil pressure displayed on the P16 Instrument Panel Cluster Control Module is within specified range.
- If not within specified range
  Test or replace the P16 Instrument Panel Cluster Control Module.
- Go to next step: If within specified range
All OK.
