Circuit/System Verification

- Ignition - On/Vehicle - In Service Mode
- Verify DTC P0641, P0651, P0697, P06A3 is not set.
- If any of the DTCs are set
- Go to next step: If none of the DTCs are set
- Verify the scan tool parameter: APP Sensor 1 = 0.80 to 4.5 V
- If not between 0.80 and 4.75 V

- Go to next step: If between 0.80 and 4.75 V
- If not between 0.80 and 4.75 V
- Verify the scan tool parameter: APP Sensor 2 = 0.40 to 2.5 V
- If not between 0.40 and 2.50 V

- Go to next step: If between 0.40 and 2.50 V
- If not between 0.40 and 2.50 V
- Verify the scan tool parameter: APP Sensor 1, 2 = The value should change with accelerator pedal input.
- If the value does not change
Refer to: Circuit/System Testing
- Go to next step: If the value changes
- If the value does not change
- Verify the scan tool parameter: APP Sensor 1, 2 = The value should not spike or drop out.
Perform the action while monitoring the parameter:
- Wiggle the harness and connector: B107 Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor
- Wiggle the harness and connector: K20 Engine Control Module
- If the value spikes or drops out
Repair as necessary - Wiring/Terminal(s)/Electrical Connector(s)
- Go to next step: If the value does not spike or drop out
- Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
Verify the DTC does not set.
- If the DTC sets

- Go to next step: If the DTC is not set
- If the DTC sets
- All OK.
