Circuit/System Verification

    NOTE:

    This procedure uses a 100 mL (3.04 US fl oz) specified cylinder with 1 mL (0.034 US fl oz) graduation marks.

  1. Perform the following action:
    • {Cap Type Fuel Fill} Remove - Fuel Tank Filler Cap & Install - J-45004 Fuel Tank Siphon Kit @Fuel Tank Filler Pipe & Place the other end of the hose into an approved clear container. Make sure the container is clean.
    • {Capless Type Fuel Fill} Install - J-45004 Fuel Tank Siphon Kit @Door@Fuel Tank Filler Pipe & Place the other end of the hose into an approved clear container. Make sure the container is clean.
  2. Using an approved clear container, drain 90 mL (3.04 US fl oz) of fluid from the component: Fuel Tank - Refer to: Fuel Tank Draining
  3. Place the container on a level surface for 2 min.
    4. NOTE:

    If the fuel system is contaminated with water, inspect the fuel system components for rust or deterioration.

  4. Verify the condition does not exist: Fuel - Cloudy/Dirty/Foreign objects/Water@Bottom
    • Go to next step: If no condition exists 
  5. Perform one of the following procedures/tests:
    • {If available} Alcohol in Fuel Testing - WithSpecial Tool
    • Alcohol in Fuel Testing - WithoutSpecial Tool
