The diagnostic tests for the following conditions of the fluid: Gasoline
- Contaminated
- Debris
- Dirty
- Excessive Alcohol/Ethanol
- Foreign objects
- Water
Water contamination in the fuel system may cause the following driveability conditions:
- Engine cranks but does not run
- Hesitation
- Misfire
- Stalling
Alcohol/Ethanol concentrations of greater than 10% in non-E85 gasoline or greater than 85% with E85 gasoline for flexible fuel applications may cause the following driveability conditions:
- Engine cranks but does not run
- Hesitation
- Lack of power
- Misfire
- Stalling
