Transmission Fluid Flush Due to Degraded Friction Performance

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.

Flushing transmission requires roughly twice the full transmission volume of fluid 18-22 liters (19-23 quarts) to achieve greater than 90 percent new fluid. When feasible, replace the transmission filter and clean the magnets. Flushing fluid may involve flushing equipment, dropping the pan or removing the drain plug. Go through gears and allow to run roughly 10 minutes between pan drops. Clear the cooler and lines being aware that thermal bypass may close off cooler lines below 90°C (194°F).
