Component Testing

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Remove the component:
    • Transmission Fluid Pan
    • Control Valve Body
  2. Disconnect the appropriate electrical connector: Q77 Transmission Control Solenoid Valve
  3. NOTE:

    The component's temperature should be 19 to 21°C (66 to 70°F) while testing.

  4. Test for 5.0 to 5.4 ohms between the test points: Terminal 1@Q77 Transmission Control Solenoid Valve & Terminal 2@Q77 Transmission Control Solenoid Valve
    • If not between 5.0 and 5.4 ohms 

      Replace the appropriate component: Q77 Transmission Control Solenoid Valve

    • Go to next step: If between 5.0 and 5.4 ohms 
  5. Test for infinite resistance between the test points: Terminal 1@Q77 Transmission Control Solenoid Valve & The component's housing
    • If less than infinite resistance 

      Replace the component: Q77 Transmission Control Solenoid Valve
