| A7 Fuel Tank Fuel Pump Module | Pump Motor The component has a 3-phase motor. The control module converts the DC voltage from the battery to 3-phase AC to power the motor. Sensor A float in the fuel tank is attached to a potentiometer-type variable resistor. The voltage drop over this resistor is used by the fuel gauge in the instrument cluster. |
| K111 Fuel Pump Power Control Module | The control module contains a microprocessor used to process input data to control outputs. The control module communicates with the engine control module via serial data. |
When the ignition is turned On, the ECM sends a 12 V signal to the control module K209 to enable the fuel pump. If the engine is not started, the control module K209 turns the fuel pump Off after 6 s.
