Circuit/System Verification

- Engine Running
- Perform the appropriate scan tool control function: Intake Camshaft Position Actuator Park Lock Test - On/Off
Verify the scan tool parameter:
- Intake Camshaft Position Actuator Park Lock Solenoid Valve Control Circuit High Voltage Test Status Bank 1, 2 = OK or Not Run
- Intake Camshaft Position Actuator Park Lock Solenoid Valve Control Circuit Low Voltage Test Status Bank 1, 2 = OK or Not Run
- Intake Camshaft Position Actuator Park Lock Solenoid Valve Control Circuit Open Test Status Bank 1, 2 = OK or Not Run
- If not the specified state
Refer to: Circuit/System Testing
- Go to next step: If the specified state
- Perform the appropriate scan tool control function: Intake Camshaft Position Actuator Park Lock Test - Enable/OK
Verify the scan tool parameter:
- Intake Camshaft Position Actuator Park Lock Solenoid Valve Control Circuit High Voltage Test Status Bank 1, 2 = OK or Not Run
- Intake Camshaft Position Actuator Park Lock Solenoid Valve Control Circuit Low Voltage Test Status Bank 1, 2 = OK or Not Run
- Intake Camshaft Position Actuator Park Lock Solenoid Valve Control Circuit Open Test Status Bank 1, 2 = OK or Not Run
Perform the action while monitoring the parameter:
- Wiggle the harness and connector: Q84 Camshaft Position Actuator Park Lock Solenoid Valve
- Wiggle the harness and connector: K20 Engine Control Module
- If not the specified state
Repair as necessary - Wiring/Terminal(s)/Electrical Connector(s)
- Go to next step: If the specified state
- Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
Verify the DTC does not set.
- If the DTC sets
Refer to: Circuit/System Testing
- Go to next step: If the DTC is not set
- If the DTC sets
- All OK.
NOTE:
Verify the engine has the correct oil level and the correct oil pressure before continuing with this diagnostic.
