Fluid Pressure Directed in Preparation for a Shift
Manual Valve
With the manual valve in the reverse position, line pressure is directed into the reverse fluid circuit to the default override valve, #1 ball check valve and the #2 ball check valve.
Default Override Valve
Reverse fluid from the manual valve is routed to the default override valve to combine with the default override valve springforce to keep the valve in the off position.
#1 Ball Check Valve
Reverse fluid passes through orifice #61 to seat the #1 ball check valve against the 23468 CLU fluid circuit allowing REV fluid to enter the 23468 CL/REV fluid circuit. The 23468 CL/REV fluid is routed to the default override valve. The 23468 CL/REV fluid passes through the default override valve and into the 12345R CL EX fluid circuit. The 12345R CL EX fluid is directed to the 12345R control valve.
#2 Ball Check Valve
Reverse fluid seats the #2 ball check valve against the 45678R CL DRIVE FD fluid circuit allowing reverse fluid to be routed into the 45678 CLU FD fluid circuit. The 45678 CLU FEED fluid is directed to the #13 ball check valve and through orifice #35 to the 45678R control valve.
