Removal Procedure

Remove and DISCARD the transmission fluid filter (4). Refer to Automatic Transmission Fluid, Fluid Pan and/or Filter Replacement .

NOTE:
Mark and identify electrical connectors before removal to ensure correct installation.

Release the transmission control wiring harness connectors.
Carefully disconnect the wiring harness clips from the valve body and case.

NOTE:

If replacing the wiring harness, the new wiring harness may not have electrical connector (2). If it does not have electrical connector (2), the control valve body will have to be removed.

If necessary, remove the control valve body from the transmission. Control Valve Body Replacement

NOTE:

The new replacement wiring harness may not have electrical connector (2). It will be a one piece harness.

Remove the transmission control wiring harness (4).
