Removal Procedure

  1. Apply the parking brake.
  2. Shift the transmission into neutral.

    {If equipped} Transmission Heat Shield (2) - Remove. - Transmission Heat Shield Replacement

    Slide the automatic transmission range selector lever cable locking ring (1) forward to allow access to the automatic transmission range selector lever cable retainer (2).

  5. Using a flat bladed tool, release the automatic transmission range selector lever cable retainer (2).
  6. Remove the automatic transmission range selector lever cable (3) from automatic transmission range selector lever (5).
  7. Remove the automatic transmission range selector lever cable lever nut (4).
  8. Remove the automatic transmission range selector lever (5).
