Installation Procedure

Automatic Transmission Range Selector Lever Cable Bracket (2) - Install
- Automatic Transmission Range Selector Lever Cable Bracket Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] 22 N.m (16 lb ft)
- Connect the automatic transmission range selector lever cable to the automatic transmission range selector lever cable bracket. Automatic Transmission Range Selector Lever Cable Replacement
- Lower the vehicle.
- Place the transmission in Park and unapply parking brake.
- If necessary, perform the range selector lever cable adjustment. Automatic Transmission Range Selector Lever Cable Adjustment
WARNING:
Ensure that the cable is properly aligned to the transmission bracket prior to tightening the fastener in order to avoid any damage to the cable and/or bracket. Failure to perform this task can result in the shifter moving out of the Park position unintentionally, causing potential vehicle damage and bodily injury.
