Installation Procedure

    Install the propeller shaft transmission flange (2) to the output shaft.

    2. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  2. Install the NEW transmission front propeller shaft nut (1) and tighten to 105 N.m (77 lb ft).

    Remove the J-45012  Holding Fixture (3) from the propeller shaft transmission flange (2).

    4. CAUTION:

    Stake the flange nut onto the output shaft. Use the two staking grooves on the shaft to locate the staking points. Failure to stake the flange nut may result in damage to the transmission.

  4. Stake the front propeller shaft nut (1).
  5. Install the propeller shaft. Two-Piece Propeller Shaft Replacement (Coupe with LT1, LT4 and MH3, MJK, MM6) , or Two-Piece Propeller Shaft Replacement (Convertible with LT1, LT4 and MH3, MJK, MM6) , or Two-Piece Propeller Shaft Replacement (Coupe with LT1, LT4 and MI2, MI4) , or Two-Piece Propeller Shaft Replacement (Convertible with LT1, LT4 and MI2, MI4)
