Removal Procedure

Remove the propeller shaft. Two-Piece Propeller Shaft Replacement (Coupe with LGX and M13) , or Two-Piece Propeller Shaft Replacement (Convertible with LGX and M13) , or Two-Piece Propeller Shaft Replacement (Coupe with LGX and M5T, MI1) , or Two-Piece Propeller Shaft Replacement (Convertible with LGX and M5T, MI1)

Install the J-45012 Holding Fixture (3) to the propeller shaft transmission flange (2).

CAUTION:
Do not reuse the flange nut. Reusing the flange nut may cause damage to the transmission.

Remove and DISCARD the transmission front propeller shaft nut (1).

NOTE:

If the propeller shaft transmission flange is not easily removed with J 45012 Holding Fixture use. DT 38416 B Harmonic Balancer Remover to remove the flange.

Remove the propeller shaft transmission flange (2) from the output shaft.
