Installation Procedure
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
Install the propeller shaft transmission flange (2) to the output shaft.
- Install the NEW transmission front propeller shaft nut (1) and tighten to 105 N.m (77 lb ft).
Remove the J-45012 Holding Fixture (3) from the propeller shaft transmission flange (2).
- Stake the front propeller shaft nut (1).
- Install the propeller shaft. Two-Piece Propeller Shaft Replacement (Coupe with LGX and M13) , or Two-Piece Propeller Shaft Replacement (Convertible with LGX and M13) , or Two-Piece Propeller Shaft Replacement (Coupe with LGX and M5T, MI1) , or Two-Piece Propeller Shaft Replacement (Convertible with LGX and M5T, MI1)
CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution .
CAUTION:
Stake the flange nut onto the output shaft. Use the two staking grooves on the shaft to locate the staking points. Failure to stake the flange nut may result in damage to the transmission.
