Removal Procedure

Air Cleaner Outlet Duct (2) - Remove - Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement
Detach the positive crankcase ventilation tube (5) from the intake manifold.
- Disconnect and reposition the EVAP purge tube. Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
- Disconnect the electrical connectors.
- Fuel Pipe Shield Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]
- Fuel Pipe Shield Bolt (2) - Remove
- Fuel Pipe Shield (3) - Remove
- Engine Rear Noise Shield (4) - Remove
- Intake Manifold Bolt (6) - Remove [8x]
- Intake Manifold (7) - Remove
- Intake Manifold Seal - Remove and DISCARD
- Clean, inspect, and overhaul the intake manifold as needed. Intake Manifold Overhaul
WARNING:
The noise cancelling foam component MUST be replaced if it has been exposed to engine fluids. Failure to replace the noise canceling foam component that has been exposed to engine fluids may result in an engine fire resulting in catastrophic engine damage, and possible injury or death.
