Installation Procedure
Crankshaft Balancer (1) - Loosely install
Install the EN-41478 - A Crankshaft Front Oil Seal Installer (1) and the EN-41665 - A Crankshaft Balancer and Sprocket Installer (2) to the crankshaft balancer (3).
- Use the adjustment nut on the EN-41478 - A Crankshaft Front Oil Seal Installer (1) to properly seat the crankshaft balancer (3).
- Once the crankshaft balancer has been properly seated, remove the EN-41478 - A Crankshaft Front Oil Seal Installer (1) and the EN-41665 - A Crankshaft Balancer and Sprocket Installer (2).
Install the EN-52287 Balancer Holding Kit (1) and the EN-956 - 1 Extension Bar (2) to the crankshaft balancer (3).
- CAUTION:
This vehicle is equipped with torque-to-yield or single use fasteners. Install a NEW torque-to-yield or single use fastener when installing this component. Failure to replace the torque-to-yield or single use fastener could cause damage to the vehicle or component.
CAUTION:Refer to Fastener Caution .
Crankshaft Balancer Bolt (1) - Install NEW and tighten
- First Pass: 80 N.m (59 lb ft)
- Final Pass: 125 degreesusing the EN - 45059 Angle Meter
- Remove the special tools.
Front Compartment Lower Noise Shield (4) - Install - Front Compartment Lower Noise Shield Replacement (Coupe - LGX, LTG)
Drive Belt (1) - Install - Drive Belt Replacement
