Assemble Procedure

Camshaft Cover - Left Side

  1. GM3961533Courtesy of GENERAL MOTORS COMPANY

    Spark Plug Shield Seal (1) - Install NEW [3x] - Using J-46103  Camshaft Actuator Valve Seal Installer

  2. Valve Rocker Arm Oil Control Valve (2) - Install
    3. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  3. Valve Rocker Arm Oil Control Valve Bolt (3) - Install - Valve Rocker Arm Oil Control Valve Replacement - Bank 2
  4. Camshaft Position Sensor (4) - Install [2x]
  5. Camshaft Position Sensor Bolt (5) - Install [2x]
    6. NOTE:

    These components have tamper-proof connections and cannot be disassembled.

  6. Positive Crankcase Ventilation Valve (6) - Install

Camshaft Cover - Right Side

    Spark Plug Shield Seal (1) - Install NEW [3x] - Using J-46103  Camshaft Actuator Valve Seal Installer

  2. Valve Rocker Arm Oil Control Valve (2) - Install
  3. Valve Rocker Arm Oil Control Valve Bolt (3) - Install - Valve Rocker Arm Oil Control Valve Replacement - Bank 1
  4. Camshaft Position Sensor (4) - Install [2x]
  5. Camshaft Position Sensor Bolt (5) - Install [2x]
    6. NOTE:

    These components have tamper-proof connections and cannot be disassembled.

  6. Positive Crankcase Ventilation Valve (6) - Install
