Installation Procedure

- CAUTION:
Do not apply more room temperature vulcanization (RTV) silicone than specified. Excess RTV silicone could plug up oil passage holes in the camshaft carrier and lead to engine damage.
NOTE:Ensure proper use of room temperature vulcanizing (RTV) sealant. Use of Room Temperature Vulcanizing (RTV) and Anaerobic Sealant
Place a 3 mm (0.118 in) bead of RTV sealant on the bottom of the camshaft carrier, following the specific bead path (1). Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
- Place a 5 mm (0.197 in) bead of RTV sealant on the bottom of the camshaft carrier in the areas indicated (2). Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
Camshaft Carrier (1) - Install
- Camshaft Bearing Cap Bolt (2) - Install and hand tighten [14x]

CAUTION:Refer to Fastener Caution .
Camshaft Carrier Bolt (1) - Tighten in sequence [14x]
- First Pass: 6 N.m (53 lb in)
- Final Pass: 60 degrees using the EN - 45059 Angle Meter
- Install the ground wire and ground wire bolt at the right front of the cylinder head. Ground Repair
Fuel Pump (2) - Install - Fuel Pump Replacement
- Camshaft Timing Chain- Right Side - Install - Camshaft Timing Chain Assembly Replacement - Right Side
