Installation Procedure

NOTE:
- The lower crankcase surface must be free of contamination prior to applying the sealer.
- Install and align the oil pan to block within 20 minutes of applying the sealer.
- The oil pan must be fastened to final torque specification within 60 minutes of applying the sealer.
Apply a 4.25 mm bead of sealer (1) on the level part of the flange around the perimeter of the oil pan. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers

Upper Oil Pan (2) - Install
Upper Oil Pan Bolt (1, 2, 3) - Loosely install [13x]

CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution .

Tighten in the sequence shown.
1. First Pass: (1-11) 25 N.m (18 lb ft)
2. Final Pass: (12-13) 10 N.m (89 lb in)

Transmission Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] 58 N.m (43 lb ft)

Drivetrain and Front Suspension Cradle - Install - Drivetrain and Front Suspension Cradle Removal and Installation (LTG)

Transmission Fluid Cooler Pipe (2) Move into position [2x]
Transmission Fluid Cooler Pipe Nut (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet and Outlet Pipe Replacement (LTG With M5T, Without V03) , or Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet and Outlet Pipe Replacement (LTG With M5T, With V03)

Wiring Harness Retainer (1) - Connect [2x]
Wiring Harness Connector (2) - Connect
Engine Oil Cooler - Install - Engine Oil Cooler Replacement (LTG)

Catalytic Converter Brace Bracket (2) - Install
Catalytic Converter Brace Bracket Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] 10 N.m (89 lb in)
Engine Front Cover - Install - Engine Front Cover Replacement
Reposition the A/C compressor and install the A/C compressor bolts. Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement (LTG)
Change the engine oil and filter. Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement
Front Compartment Lower Noise Shield - Install - Front Compartment Lower Noise Shield Replacement (Coupe - LGX, LTG)
