Engine Support Fixture (LT1)

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Front Bumper Fascia Center Support Replacement
  2. Valve Rocker Arm Cover Insulator Replacement - Left Side (LT1) 
  3. Valve Rocker Arm Cover Insulator Replacement - Right Side (LT1) 
  4. Radiator Surge Tank Replacement (LT1 LT4)

Special Tools

  • EN-36857  Engine Lift Bracket
  • EN-51007  Engine Support Fixture
  • EN-51007 - 1  Main Support Beam
  • EN-51007 - 3  Radiator Tube Shelf Assembly
  • EN-51007 - 4  Cross Bracket
  • EN-51007 - 5  Front Support Assembly
  • EN-51007 - 6  Hook Assembly
  • EN-52059  Engine Support Fixture Adapter Bolt - M10
For equivalent regional tools. Refer to Special Tools
1 EN-36857  Engine Lift Bracket (Qty: 2)
CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .


Procedure 
Use EN-52059  Engine Support Fixture Adapter Bolt - M10 to install a EN-36857  bracket to the right and left cylinder head in the location shown. Tighten the bolt to 65 N.m (48 lb ft).
2 EN-51007 - 1  Main Support Beam
Procedure 
Install main support beam through engine support beam adapters and pin in place.
3 EN-51007 - 6  Hook Assembly (Qty: 2)
4 EN-28467 - 6A  Bracket Assembly (Qty: 2)
5 EN-51007 - 4  Cross Bracket (Qty: 2)
Procedure 
Loosely install cross bracket to retain radiator shelf tube to main support beam. Tighten cross bracket after front support assembly is in place.
6 EN-51007 - 3  Radiator Tube Shelf Assembly (Qty: 2)
Procedure 
Place radiator shelf tubes on top of main support beam.
7 EN-51007 - 5  Front Support Assembly (Qty: 2)
Procedure 
Place front support assembly through radiator tube shelf and pin at proper height.
