Removal Procedure
WARNING:
Refer to Brake Fluid Irritant Warning .
WARNING:
Use of eye goggles is necessary to prevent personal injury.
CAUTION:
Refer to Brake Fluid Effects on Paint and Electrical Components Caution .
- Using an appropriate siphon device, remove as much brake fluid from the reservoir as possible.
- Place absorbent towels beneath the reservoir to catch any residual fluid.
- Engine Control Module@Vehicle - Remove - Engine Control Module Replacement
Electrical Connector (1) @Brake Fluid Level Indicator Switch (2) - Disconnect
Clip (1) @Brake Master Cylinder Reservoir (3) - Unclip [2x]
- Body Wiring Harness (2) @Brake Master Cylinder Reservoir (3) - Reposition
Brake Master Cylinder Reservoir Pin (1) @Brake Master Cylinder Reservoir (3) - Remove
Brake Master Cylinder Reservoir (1) @Brake Master Cylinder (3) - Remove
- Brake Master Cylinder Reservoir Seal (2) @Brake Master Cylinder (3) - Remove and DISCARD [2x]
- Brake Fluid Level Indicator Switch@Brake Master Cylinder Reservoir - Remove - Brake Fluid Level Indicator Switch Replacement
