NOTE:
If you were sent here from DTC P026A - Refer to: Circuit/System Testing.
- Ignition - On / Vehicle - In Service Mode
- Verify the scan tool parameter:
- { B193A } Charge Air Cooler Temperature Sensor = -39 to 215°C (-38 to 419°F)
- { B193B } Charge Air Cooler Temperature Sensor 2 = -39 to 215°C (-38 to 419°F)
- If not between -39 and 215°C (-38 and 419°F)
Refer to: Circuit/System Testing
- Go to next step: If between -39 and 215°C (-38 and 419°F)
- Verify the scan tool parameter:
- Charge Air Cooler Temperature Sensor = The parameter value should not change
- Charge Air Cooler Temperature Sensor 2 = The parameter value should not change
- Perform the action while monitoring the parameter:
- Wiggle the harness and connector: B193A Charge Air Cooler Air Temperature Sensor - Inlet
- Wiggle the harness and connector: B193B Charge Air Cooler Air Temperature Sensor - Outlet
- Wiggle the harness and connector: K20 Engine Control Module
- If the parameter value changes
Repair as necessary - Wiring / Terminal (s) / Electrical Connector (s)
- Go to next step: If the parameter value does not change
- Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
Verify the DTC does not set.
- If the DTC sets
Refer to: Circuit/System Testing
- Go to next step: If the DTC does not set
- If the DTC sets
