Circuit/System Verification
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
- Ignition - On / Vehicle - In Service Mode
- Verify DTC P0045, P0046, P0641, P169E, P169F, P16FA, P16FC, P2564, P2565, P2598, P2599, U0656 is not set.
- If any of the DTCs are set
- Go to next step: If none of the DTCs are set
- Engine - Idling
- Perform the scan tool control function: Turbocharger/Supercharger Boost Control Position - Increase & Decrease
Verify the control rod of the actuator moves smoothly over the full range.
- If the control rod does not move smoothly over the full range
- Ignition/Vehicle - Off
- Verify a condition does not exist with the component: Turbocharger
- Mechanically stuck control rod. - Visible Damage / Incorrect connection
- Blade - Mechanically stuck /Binding or Sticking @ Closed/Open
- Mechanically damaged - Debris/Visible Damage
- If a condition exists
Repair or replace as necessary - Refer to: Compressor Air Intake Turbocharger System Description
- Go to next step: If the control rod moves smoothly over the full range
- Ignition/Vehicle - Off - Greater than 1 min
- Ignition - On / Vehicle - In Service Mode
- Verify DTC P003A, P100B is not set.
- If the DTC sets
Test or replace the component: Compressor Air Intake Turbocharger Replacement
- Go to next step: If the DTC does not set
- If the DTC sets
- Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
Verify DTC P003A, P100B is not set.
- If the DTC sets
Test or replace the component: Compressor Air Intake Turbocharger Replacement
- Go to next step: If the DTC does not set
- If the DTC sets
- All OK.
