Installation Procedure

    Drive Belt Tensioner (2) - Install

    2. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  2. Drive Belt Tensioner Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    NOTE:

    Upon removal of the belt idler pulley, the retainer (3) and spacer (2) may detach from the pulley (1). If reinstalling the belt idler pulley, ensure the proper orientation, as shown before reassembling the belt idler pulley.

    If necessary, ensure belt idler pulley components are installed in the proper orientation.

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Caution .

    Belt Idler Pulley (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Install the accessory drive primary belt (2) to the vehicle.

  6. Rotate the accessory drive primary belt tensioner (1) clockwise.
    7. NOTE:

    Ensure the proper routing of the accessory drive primary belt.

  7. Install the accessory drive primary belt (2) around all pulleys.

    Engine Front Cover (2) - Install

    {without RC1} Install the front bumper fascia extension.

      NOTE:

      Quantity of fasteners may vary based on option content.

    1. Front Bumper Fascia Extension (4) - Install
      2. CAUTION:

      Refer to Fastener Caution .

    2. Front Bumper Fascia Extension Bolt (3) @ Underbody Skid Shield - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
    3. Front Bumper Fascia Extension Bolt (2) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications

      Front Bumper Fascia Extension (1) - Install

      Front Bumper Fascia Extension Bolt (2) - Install and tighten [8x] - Fastener Specifications

    6. Front Bumper Fascia Air Deflector Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [10x] - Fastener Specifications

    {with RC1} Install the underbody splash shield.

    1. Underbody Splash Shield (1) - Install

      Underbody Splash Shield Bolt (2) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications

    3. Front Bumper Fascia Skid Plate Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications
  11. Lower the vehicle.

    NOTE:

    Push down and rearward on the engine front cover (2) to engage the 5 retaining grommets to the ball studs.

  13. Engine Front Cover Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    NOTE:

    Left side shown, right side similar.

    Front End Sheet Metal Diagonal Brace- Left Side and Right Side (2) - Install [2x]

  15. If NEW threaded components are being installed, loosen the adhesive using a metal pick or similar tool before proceeding. If threaded components are reused, prepare the threaded components using the following steps:
    1. Remove any loose cured adhesive from the external threads of the components using a lint free cloth.
    2. Thread the cleaned components into the internal mating threads and remove to loosen trapped cured adhesive.
    3. Apply thread locking adhesive to the external threads of the components. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
    4. Ensure there are no gaps in the thread locking adhesive once applied to the component.
  16. Front End Sheet Metal Diagonal Brace Bolt - Left Side and Right Side (1) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications

    Intake Air Splash Shield (2) - Install

  18. Intake Air Baffle Retainer (1) - Install [9x]

    {If equipped} Hood Secondary Latch Release Handle (2) - Install

  20. {If equipped} Hood Latch Actuator Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications

    Air Conditioning Compressor and Condenser Hose (1) - Install

    Charge Air Cooler Surge Tank (2) - Install

  24. Charge Air Cooler Coolant Reservoir Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
  25. Oil Filler Cap - Remove

    Intake Manifold Cover (2) - Install

  27. Intake Manifold Cover Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
