Circuit/System Verification

Ignition - On / Vehicle - In Service Mode
Verify there are no DTCs set related to the following component/system:
- B9 Ambient Air Temperature Sensor
- B214 Reductant Temperature Sensor
- E53 Reductant Tank Heater
- K115 Reductant Control Module
- If any of the DTCs are set
  Refer to: Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle
- Go to next step: If none of the DTC are set
Verify the condition does not exist: Warning Message = Service Emission System/Service Exhaust Fluid System
- If the condition exists
  Refer to: Contaminants-in-Diesel Exhaust Fluid Diagnosis
- Go to next step: If no condition exists
Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
Verify the DTC does not set.
- If the DTC sets
  Replace the component: E53 Reductant Tank Heater
- Go to next step: If the DTC is not set
All OK.
