Circuit/System Verification

  1. Ignition - On / Vehicle - In Service Mode
  2. Verify there are no DTCs set related to the following component/system:
    • B17 Barometric Pressure Sensor
    • B75C Multifunction Intake Air Sensor
    • B154 Diesel Particulate Filter Exhaust Differential Pressure Sensor
    • Q14 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve
    • Go to next step: If a related DTC is not set 
  3. Verify the following conditions do not exist:
    • Exhaust System - Leaking/Loose Clamps/Restricted/Visible Damage
    • Hoses / Lines @ B154 Diesel Particulate Filter Exhaust Differential Pressure Sensor - Blocked/Kinked/Leaking/Missing/Restricted/Visible Damage
    • If a condition exists 

      Repair or replace as necessary

    • Go to next step: If no condition exists 
  4. Perform the following procedure/test: DPF Service Regeneration - Refer to: Particulate Filter Service Regeneration
    • If the procedure was not successful 

      Replace the component: Diesel Particulate Filter

    • Go to next step: If the procedure was successful 
  5. All OK.
