Circuit/System Verification

  1. Ignition ON.
  2. Verify there are no DTCs set related to the following component/system:
    • B17 Barometric Pressure Sensor
    • B75C Multifunction Intake Air Sensor
    • B131 Exhaust Temperature Sensor
    • B154 Diesel Particulate Filter Exhaust Differential Pressure Sensor
    • Go to next step: If a related DTC is not set 
  3. Ignition ON, verify that the diesel particulate filter (DPF) Differential Pressure parameter is between 0 to +1 kPa (0 to +0.14 PSI).
    • If not within the specified range 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing.

    • Go to next step: If within the specified range 
  4. Engine running, verify that the DPF Differential Pressure parameter is greater than 0 kPa (0 PSI).
    • If not greater than 0 kPa (0 PSI) 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing.

    • Go to next step: If greater than 0 kPa (0 PSI) 
  5. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed in the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
  6. Verify the DTC is not set.
    • If the DTC is set 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing.

    • Go to next step: If no DTC is set 
  7. All OK.
