Installation Procedure
Using the J-38869 Seal Installer (1), install a NEW propeller shaft transmission flange fluid seal (2).
Automatic Transmission Case Extension Seal (3) - Install NEW
- Lubricate the inner diameter of the transmission output shaft seal with NEW transmission fluid prior to installing the automatic transmission case extension. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
- Automatic Transmission Case Extension (2) - Install
- Automatic Transmission Case Extension Bolt (1) - Install and tighten in sequence [6x] - Fastener Specifications
Transmission Mount (2) - Install
- Transmission Mount Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
- Transfer Case Assembly - Install - Transfer Case Assembly Replacement (L84, L87 without F47) , or Transfer Case Assembly Replacement (LM2 without F47) , or Transfer Case Assembly Replacement (L84, L87 with F47) , or Transfer Case Assembly Replacement (LM2 with F47)
- If necessary, check the transmission fluid level and condition. Transmission Fluid Level and Condition Check
