Installation Procedure
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
- Clean the diesel engine combustion air heater glow plug mounting hole. Hole must be free of lubricant and grease.
- NOTE:
- Avoid canting of the diesel engine combustion air heater glow plug during the insertion process into cylinder head bore.
- Handle with extreme care, do not allow glow plugs to touch each other. Any impact to glow plug requires replacement with NEW.
- Do not use power tools to install the diesel engine combustion air heater glow plug.
Install the NEW diesel engine combustion air heater glow plug (1) by hand a minimum of 3 turns into the cylinder head thread.
- Diesel Engine Combustion Air Heater Glow Plug (1) - Tighten - Fastener Specifications
Connect the wiring harness connector (1).
Air Cleaner Outlet Front Duct (2) - Install
- Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Clamp (1) - Tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
Throttle Body Gasket (3) - Install NEW
- Throttle Body (2) - Install
- Throttle Body Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [3x] - Fastener Specifications
- Connect the throttle body electrical connector.
Charge Air Cooler Outlet Air Hose (2) - Install
- Charge Air Cooler Outlet Air Hose Clamp (1) - Tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
- Oil Filler Cap - Remove
Intake Manifold Cover (2) - Install
- Intake Manifold Cover Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
- Oil Filler Cap - Install
