Installation Procedure

    Install the exhaust gas recirculation cooler (1).

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

    Exhaust Gas Recirculation Cooler Nut (1) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications

    Exhaust Gas Recirculation Pipe Bracket Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications

    Exhaust Gas Recirculation Cooler Inlet Pipe Gasket - Upper (4) - Install NEW

  5. Exhaust Gas Recirculation Cooler Inlet Pipe Gasket - Lower (3) - Install NEW
  6. Exhaust Gas Recirculation Pipe (2) - Install
  7. Exhaust Gas Recirculation Cooler Inlet Pipe Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications

    Exhaust Gas Recirculation Cooler Inlet Pipe (2) - Install

  9. Clamp @ Exhaust Gas Recirculation Cooler Inlet Pipe (1) - Engage - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type

    Exhaust Gas Recirculation Cooler Outlet Pipe (2) - Install

  11. Clamp @ Exhaust Gas Recirculation Cooler Outlet Pipe (1) - Engage - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type
  12. Front Wheelhouse Liner-Right Side (3) - Install - Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement

    Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve Cooler Gasket (2) - Install NEW

  14. Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve (1) @ Exhaust Gas Recirculation Cooler - Install

    Heater Outlet Hose Bracket (4) - Install

    16. CAUTION:

    Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Caution .

  16. Exhaust Gas Recirculation Cooler Temperature Sensor (2) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
  17. Connect the exhaust gas recirculation cooler temperature sensor electrical connector.
  18. Exhaust Gas Recirculation Pipe Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications

    Exhaust Gas Recirculation Pipe Bolt (2) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications

    Heater Outlet Hose Bracket Nut (3) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Exhaust Pressure Sensor Pipe (1) - Install

    Exhaust Pressure Sensor Hose Clamp (1) @ Exhaust Pressure Sensor Pipe (2) - Engage - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type

    Exhaust Pressure Sensor Pipe (1) - Install

    Exhaust Pressure Sensor Hose Clamp (1) - Engage [2x] - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type

  25. Plenum Front Panel Outer Reinforcement (1) - Install - Plenum Front Panel Outer Reinforcement Removal and Installation
  26. Fill the cooling system to the proper level. Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static LM2) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716 LM2)
  27. Start the engine and check for exhaust leaks.
