Removal Procedure

Transfer Case Assembly - Remove - Transfer Case Assembly Replacement (L84, L87 without F47) , or Transfer Case Assembly Replacement (LM2 without F47) , or Transfer Case Assembly Replacement (L84, L87 with F47) , or Transfer Case Assembly Replacement (LM2 with F47)

CAUTION:
Refer to Machined Surface Damage Caution .

NOTE:
DO NOT use a pry tool to remove the input shaft seal.

Drill a pilot hole and insert a self-tapping screw (1) into the body of the input shaft seal.
Using a set of pliers or slide hammer type tool, remove and DISCARD the input shaft seal (2).
