Removal Procedure

  1. Drive the transfer case high/low shift fork pin (1) out using a drift punch and hammer.
  2. Remove the transfer case high/low shift fork (2). Inspect for wear or damage in the spring seat locations. The component must be replaced if damage is found.
  3. Remove the transfer case high/low shift fork spring assembly (3) from the transfer case high/low shift fork (2). Inspect for a broken spring. Replace the component if this conditions exist.
