Installation Procedure

    Apply sealant to the threads of the transfer case oil drain plug (2). Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers

    2. CAUTION:

    Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Caution .

  2. Transfer Case Oil Drain Plug (2) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications 
  3. Remove the drain pan.
  4. Transfer Case Oil Fill Plug (1) - Remove
  5. Fill the transfer case to the bottom of the oil fill hole with the recommended fluid.
  6. Apply sealant to the threads of the transfer case oil fill plug (1). Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
  7. Transfer Case Oil Fill Plug (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    If equipped, install the transfer case skid shield.

    1. Transfer Case Skid Shield (2) - Install
    2. Transfer Case Skid Shield Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [3x] - Fastener Specifications
  9. Lower the vehicle.
