Circuit/System Verification

  1. Ignition - On / Vehicle - In Service Mode
  2. Verify DTC P02E8, P02E9, U0654 is not set.
    • Go to next step: If none of the DTCs are set 
  3. Engine at Idle Verify the scan tool parameter:
    • Diesel Intake Air Flow Control Valve Control Circuit High Test Status = Not Run or Okay
    • Diesel Intake Air Flow Control Valve Control Circuit Low Test Status = Not Run or Okay
    • Diesel Intake Air Flow Control Valve Control Circuit Open Test Status = Not Run or Okay
    • Diesel Intake Air Flow Control Valve Control Circuit Shorted Test Status = Not Run or Okay
    • If not the specified state 

      Refer to: Circuit/System Testing

    • Go to next step: If the specified state 
  4. Clear the DTCs.
  5. Ignition Off - For greater than 1 min
  6. Ignition - On / Vehicle - In Service Mode
  7. Verify DTC P02E1, P02E5 is not set.
    • If the DTC sets 

      Refer to: Circuit/System Testing

    • Go to next step: If the DTC does not set 
  8. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.

    Verify the DTC does not set.

    • If the DTC sets 

      Refer to: Circuit/System Testing

    • Go to next step: If the DTC does not set 
  9. All OK.
