Circuit/System Verification

  1. Ignition - On / Vehicle - In Service Mode
  2. Verify DTC P003A, P0045, P0047, P0048, P100B, PP16FA, P16FC, P16B0, P16B1, P16B2, P169E, P169F, P2564, P2565, U0656 is not set.
    • Go to next step: If the DTC is not set 
  3. Verify the scan tool parameter: Turbocharger/Supercharger Boost Control Position Sensor = 85 - 95%
    • If not in the specified range 

      Refer to: Circuit/System Testing

    • Go to next step: If in the specified range 
  4. Clear the DTCs.
  5. Engine - Idling
  6. Verify the scan tool parameter: Turbocharger/Supercharger Boost Control Position Sensor = 85 - 100%
    • If not in the specified range 

      Refer to: Circuit/System Testing

    • Go to next step: If in the specified range 
  7. Perform the scan tool control function: Turbocharger/Supercharger Boost Control Position - From 20 to 80% and back to 20%.

    Verify the difference between the following parameters is less than 16%:

    • Desired Turbocharger/Supercharger Boost Control Position
    • Turbocharger/Supercharger Boost Control Position Sensor
    • If the difference is greater than 15% 

      Refer to: Circuit/System Testing

    • Go to next step: If the difference is less than 16% 
  8. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.

    Verify the DTC does not set.

    • If the DTC sets 

      Refer to: Circuit/System Testing

    • Go to next step: If the DTC is not set 
  9. All OK.
