Ping, Snap, or Click Noise

DEFINITION: A ping, snap or click is usually heard on initial load after the transmission is in gear, either in forward or reverse.
A loose rear wheel drive shaft flange/differential drive pinion gear nut. Tighten the differential drive pinion gear nut to specification. Fastener Specifications
Loose rear propeller shaft bolts. Tighten the rear propeller shaft bolts to specification. Fastener Specifications 
One or more of the propeller shaft universal joints are worn. Replace the affected propeller shaft universal joints. Propeller Shaft Universal Joint Replacement (2WD) , or Propeller Shaft Universal Joint Replacement (4WD) 
Underbody shield or component interference. Eliminate interference as required.
