Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (9C1, 5W4) , or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (KL9)
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
  3. Remove the rear tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Steel Wheel) , or Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Aluminum Wheel)

    Rear Brake Hose Bracket Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]

  5. Rear Brake Hose Bracket (2) - Remove [2x]

    Rear Brake Hose Fitting (1) - Remove

  7. Rear Brake Hose Washer (2) - Remove and DISCARD [2x]
  8. Rear Brake Hose (3) @ Rear Brake Caliper - Remove
  9. Plug the rear brake hose outlet to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.
  10. Plug the rear brake caliper inlet to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.

    Rear Brake Rear Pipe Nut (1) - Remove

  12. Rear Brake Hose Clip (2) - Remove
  13. Rear Brake Hose (3) - Remove
  14. Plug the rear brake hose inlet to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.
  15. Cap the rear brake rear pipe outlet to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.
