Circuit/System Description

The K9 Body Control Module provides the control circuit 1091, control circuit 1094, control circuit 2679, control circuit 2680, control circuit 2681 and control circuit 2682 with voltage and ground to the appropriate lock and unlock control circuits of the door latches. The lock and unlock control circuits of the left rear and driver door latches are connected together, the lock and unlock control circuits of the right rear and passenger door latches are connected together. Transitioning of the lock actuators to the lock or unlocked position depends upon which control circuits receive voltage and which control circuits receive ground.

The S79D Front Side Door Window Control Switch-Driver provides the S13D Door Lock Switch-Driver with signal circuit 2771 and signal circuit 2772. Ground is applied at all times to the S13D Door Lock Switch-Driver. When the lock switch or unlock switch is pressed, ground is applied to the S79D Front Side Door Window Control Switch-Driver through signal circuit 2771 or signal circuit 2772.

The S79P Front Side Door Window Switch-Passenger provides the S13P Door Lock Switch-Passenger with signal circuit 2773 and signal circuit 2774. Ground is applied at all times to the S13P Door Lock Switch-Passenger. When the lock switch or unlock switch is pressed, ground is applied to the S79P Front Side Door Window Switch-Passenger through signal circuit 2773 or signal circuit 2774.

The K219 Lighting Control Module monitors the voltage level of the signal circuit 4001, signal circuit 4002, signal circuit 4003 and signal circuit 4004. When the left rear or right rear door lock switch is in the open position, the voltage level in the signal circuit will be near 7 V. When the left rear or right rear door lock switch is pressed to the lock or unlock position, the voltage level in the appropriate signal circuit will drop to 0 V and the exterior lighting control module will detect the voltage drop and command the door latches to perform the requested lock or unlock command.
